A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that lifts and tightens saggy skin without surgery, using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO), biocompatible material similar to dissolvable surgical sutures. The threads are implanted in the subcutaneous layer of the skin using thin cannulas. Once inserted, the seven threads stimulate collagen production & strengthen the skin, resulting in a lifted, rejuvenated, and fuller look. Our office carries large lifting threads and miniature smooth threads for those smaller problem areas (e.g., barcode smoker’s lines, under-eye & lip contouring). Eastside Aesthetics by Lena utilizes FDA-cleared threads in cannula by PDO Max.
The pros of this treatment include:
1 hour 30 minutes
The PDO Max threads we use are thin medical-grade absorbable threads that naturally lift and tighten tissues. These threads are placed into the subcutaneous layer of the skin using FDA-approved cannulas. You’ll see lifted, rejuvenated skin with only one treatment. We’ll perform this minimally invasive procedure on targeted areas with sagging skin. These threads are designed to improve sagging skin and lift it upwards. The threads stimulate collagen production to diminish fine lines and wrinkles effectively. We have large lifting threads and smaller smooth threads. The smooth threads boost collagen and are commonly used on crow’s feet, near the mouth, cheeks, and on acne scarring. We’ll assess the whole face to examine areas of concern and what needs to be addressed.
A thread lift treats sagging areas near your cheeks, jaw, neck, and eyes.
The improvements in skin firmness and rejuvenation can be seen three to four weeks after treatment.
While the threads dissolve in about 6-9 months, the collagen they create stays around for up to 24 months.
