Hylenex is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, reversing its effect without damaging the surface of the skin or the dermal structure. When Will I See The Results?

Are There Side Effects?

Yes. Swelling, redness, & tenderness resolve within a couple of days. Bruising may last up to a week.

Before Your Appointment

Avoid blood thinning medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, and Advil as well as supplements such as garlic, fish oil, vitamins A and E, ginseng, and Ginkgo for 1 week prior to treatment.
Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment.

After Your Appointment

You will likely have swelling, redness, and tenderness over the treated areas.
Bruising is expected and usually most obvious on days 2-7. Arnica as well as Alastin Post-Injection Serum (insert Alastin shopping link: https://www.alastin.com/collections/welcome?designate-location=12728) will speed up the healing.
You may apply ice over the next couple of days to keep the swelling down.
You will notice that your natural hyaluronic acid may be affected. Your body will replenish those stores within 3-4 days.
Do not apply make up over the injected area for at least 90 minutes to minimize the risk of infection
Only touch the injected area with clean hands and a clean towel.
Avoid alcohol, excessive heat, strenuous exercise and exposure to UV radiation for the rest of the day.
Wait until your injector advises you to replace the dissolved filler with a new one in the area if desired.
