Microneedling

Microneedling

Microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive procedure that aims to decrease skin pigmentation, treat scar tissue (including acne scars), lax skin, stretch marks, wrinkles, large pores, as well as improve skin tone and texture by increasing collagen production. The skin is pierced with fine short needles using a medical-grade microneedling pen. The procedure is comfortable, and skin-numbing cream is used. We will customize your treatment by adjusting the depth of the needles, depending on your level of sensitivity & treatment goals.

The advantages of this treatment include:

  • Diminishes fine lines & wrinkles
  • Firms the skin via increased collagen production
  • Improves facial scars & stretch marks
  • Decreases skin pigmentation
  • Decreases pore size
  • Improves skin tone & texture
  • Glowing complexion

The Treatment

Microneedling with Platelet Rich Fibrin

Starting at $600

In our office, clients have the option of combining microneedling with Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) taken from their own blood (blood draw is required).  The growth factors in platelets help stimulate even more collagen & elastin production thus enhancing the results.  Microneedling creates small channels in the top layer of the skin.  When PRF is directed into those channels, regenerative qualities of the skin are stimulated, leading to firmer, smoother & more glowing skin.

Microneedling with AnteAGE MD Growth Factor Serum

1 hour

Starting at $600

AnteAGE MD Growth Factor Serum contains pro-healing, anti-inflammatory growth factors & cytokines derived from laboratory culture of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, the specialized cells that science has determined function as “command & control” of healing in all injured tissues.  Synthesized human TGF-B3 is added to further reduce inflammation & promote less fibrotic, more fetal-like healing.  Hyaluronic acid provides lubrication & is a powerful humectant.

Microneedling with AnteAGE MD Brightening Serum

AnteAGE MD Brightening Serum contains the same powerful rejuvenating growth factors & cytokines as classic Growth Factor Serum with an added boost of Tranexamic Acid & other melanin synthesis blocking agents.  This unique treatment corrects uneven skin tone & encourages a naturally lighter complexion.  Formulated to attack 8 different pigmentation pathways, this serum is the only product on the market to effectively brighten & target discoloration at the cellular level without irritation.

Faq's

Microneedling is most commonly used on the face.  However, microneedling can also be done off the face to treat stretch marks & loose skin.  Other treatment areas include neck, décolleté & scalp (to stimulate hair growth).

In general, you can expect the results of microneedling with PRF to last for up to 1 year (after the competition of the initial series of 3 sessions).  You can increase the longevity by having a great home skincare regimen using medical grade products.  Some clients may benefit from a maintenance program with quarterly procedures to keep skin looking its best.

On average, it takes 2-3 weeks after microneedling for clients to see visible improvement in their skin.  Skin improves even more after 6-8 weeks as results are cumulative with multiple treatment sessions.  However, some skin conditions require longer investment & treatment period.  Acne scars typically need as many as 6 treatments, with scar subcision & treatments spaced 1 month apart.  Those who just want to improve the overall tone & texture of their skin can usually get great results in about 3 treatments.

There is minimal downtime, and it may look like you have a sunburn for 12-24 hours after the procedure. Your skin may also feel tight, dry, swollen, or sensitive to the touch for up to 3 days.It is essential to have the correct home post-microneedling skincare regimen to speed up healing & enhance the results.
